Council wants to roll out the red carpet and treat Murrindindi Shire volunteers like rock stars!

In recognition of all the community members who generously volunteer their time, effort, and expertise , Council is hosting two Volunteer Appreciation Dinner Parties and is inviting all our wonderful volunteers to attend.


At these celebrations, the Murrindindi Shire Citizen of the Year Awards recipients will be announced and presented. So, grab your fellow volunteers and book a seat Sunday by 7 May, it will be a fabulous night.

Tickets are limited, so get in quick!

Registrations are required by Sunday 7 May for catering purposes. There are limited tickets available, so get in quick!

To ensure as many people as possible have an opportunity to attend, we are limiting the number of tickets to one table per group or organisation.

National Volunteer Week is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteering and is being held from 15 – 21 May 2023. Volunteering brings people together; it builds communities and creates a better society for everyone. This year’s theme is The Change Makers.

The week-long event recognises the vital support that the millions of volunteers in our country provide to their communities and encourages people to consider volunteering.
