Stage 1 has now closed

In March this year we put a call out to individuals and community groups to share their stories and experiences of volunteerism in Murrindindi Shire. We were really pleased to receive more than 80 submissions, showcasing some of our amazing volunteers and volunteer groups and the important work they do in our community. The submissions we received will be used to promote and celebrate National Volunteer Week from 16-22 May and to help community groups and organisations recruit more volunteers.

Are you a volunteer or do you know someone who is?

To celebrate National Volunteer Week from 16 to 22 May, and to help community groups and organisations recruit more volunteers, Council will be showcasing some of our wonderful volunteers to recognise the important work they do. We'll also be putting together a list of community groups and organisations that are looking for volunteers. If you are a volunteer or you know someone who is and have an experience you’d like to share, we’d love to hear from you!

National Volunteer Week (NVW) is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteering. This year NVW will be held from 16 – 22 May. NVW is a chance to celebrate and acknowledge the vital work of volunteers. This year’s theme is 'Better Together'. Together, through volunteering, we are changing communities for the better.
