1st Alexandra scouts is a vibrant group of leaders and scouts made up of four sections. Joeys 5-8yrs, Cubs 8-11yrs, Scouts 11-15yr and Venturers 15-18years. Scouting is one of the most successful youth organisations in Australia and the world and is all volunteer run.

What opportunities are there?

Scouting is not all about knots, scouts includes regular meetings, camps, hikes, outdoor adventure activities, the arts, performance and so much more.

Volunteers can help in many ways big or small; occasionally, at one off events, as parent/adult helpers or even as leaders.

No matter your skill set Scouts can support you with training. We have the opportunity for adults to help develop their own skills as well as shape the leaders of tomorrow... today's youth. We would welcome people with skill sets to become leaders.

What benefits do volunteers bring to your group and organisation?

Some of our Leader training is recognised through SAIT. It brings great pride to help our youth grow and develop, and become great members of our community.
