We are a community group based in Yea that for the past three years have been awarded grants both Federal and state to install solar panels on community buildings in partnership with the Murrindindi Shire and RACV solar. To date we have installed panels on the Pioneer Reserve, Mens Shed and Pottery Shed and installed panels and batteries at the Yea Football Netball rooms.

What opportunities are there?

We can train people to do a Home Energy Efficiency course as this is one of the services we give to the community, but if you have technical know-how in renewables you are always welcome.

What benefits do volunteers bring to your group and organisation?

Increased levels of activity and support for Yea residents and businesses seeking to use, generate and store energy wisely for themselves and their community and for decreasing carbon emissions. And new volunteers mean new ideas!
