If you are aged 12 - 25 and live in Murrindindi Shire, you are invited to join the FREE Murrindindi Youth Leading The World Congress.

The Murrindindi Youth Leading The World Congress is an opportunity for young people from across Murrindindi Shire to come together and share their concerns and create innovative, collaborative action plans for the future of their communities.

OzGREEN and Murrindindi Shire Council are partnering to give Murrindindi young people the chance to:

• Develop community and environmental leadership skills
• Learn about their local and global environment
• Identify their biggest concerns
• Develop a vision for their community's future
• Innovate change ideas
• Create action plans
• Collaborate with students from other schools
• Present their ideas to local decision-makers and supporters
• Have real, positive impacts on their community and environment

The Congress will be held:

• On Friday 10 March 2023
  
• From 9.30 am - 2.30 pm
• In the Alexandra Shire Hall, Perkins Street, Alexandra

This is a FREE event with morning tea and lunch provided.

OzGREEN is a not for profit environmental education charity that was established in 1992. It was established specifically to deliver environmental education and action orientated programs for young people but has since expanded to include adult programs.

The original focus was on environmental education, but this has since shifted to action and adaptation.

OzGREEN’s unique approach incorporates citizen science, transformative sustainability education, participatory leadership and community development.

Our programs have been recognised by the Buckminster-Fuller Catalyst Program, Eureka Prize, Banksia Awards, UN Media Peace Awards, and UNESCO Wenhui Awards.
