What is it?

  • A community transport program for people who need help to get around
  • Vehicles are driven by volunteers from local towns across Murrindindi Shire
  • Moving Murrindindi aims to fill the gaps between public and private transport

How do I book a ride?

Community Accessability Inc. coordinate the booking process.

You can book online at www.communityaccessability.com.au or by calling 1300 704 530.

You will be asked to provide:

  • Your name and address
  • Pick up and drop off locations
  • Day, date and time of your appointment
  • Whether or not you will have a carer with you

There are no limits on destinations, as long as a driver and a vehicle are available.

Who is eligible?

Services are available to those who have trouble accessing suitable transport, including older people, people with a disability, financially challenged or geographically isolated individuals, and those eligible for Home and Community Care (HACC) or Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) funded services.

If you are unsure if this is you, please give us a call.

How much does it cost?

Community Accessability Inc. provide coordination of the Moving Murrindindi program with funding support from the Victorian Government.

For the day to day running costs of the vehicles, clients are requested to provide a contribution. This is calculated on an individual basis, and clients will be advised of the contribution amount when booking their transport.
