The Murrindindi Beanie & Fibre Festival is a Not For Profit community arts event designed for people of all ages and abilities. Held once a year on the 4th weekend in May and set among the rolling green hills of Alexandra. Some have even grown up with the fun of funky beanies as the town of Alexandra comes alive with all things Beanie. There are plenty of beanies, winter warmers & fibre arts for sale. The Beanie Fest, as it has become known, is widely regarded and provides lots of fun for those who enter or simply come to soak up the atmosphere while making a fabulous purchase. The MBFF relies on the donations of beanies and winter warming items to make this event happen and without the support of many fantastic creative people both near and far the MBFF would not be able to got ahead. Money raised goes towards local projects & charities within the Shire of Murrindindi, including yearly support of Alexandra Rotary providing wood for the elderly & disadvantaged within the Community.
