The museum aims to preserve history from our local region as well as from the railway and tramway eras. We operate the Alexandra Timber Tramway tourist railway, and the museum on the 2nd and 4th Sundays, and also operate the Alexandra Market on the second Saturday of each month.

What opportunities are there?

Many opportunities exist for volunteers to help with visitor support, publicity and marketing, maintenance, admin and keeping the museum in a tidy condition. Volunteers can also enter the world of heritage railways from driving, maintaining or being part of the crew.
